To get to Harris: Take the Calmac ferry to Tarbert from Uig on the Isle of Skye. Alternatively, there is a ferry route from Ullapool to Stornoway, which is on the Isle of Lewis. While referred to as two separate islands, Harris and Lewis are actually one island and Tarbert is a 1 hour drive from Stornoway.

Getting Around

The main way to access the Isle of Harris is by Calmac ferry. Summer and winter timetables can be found on the Calmac website. The most accessible route for Dalhanna is Uig-Tarbert however Ullapool-Stornoway is around a 1 hour drive from Dalhanna.

Stornoway is home to the main airport for the Hebrides and there are daily flights from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and Benbecula.

Public transport around Lewis & Harris is fairly regular through the summer season, although you may find it easier to get around the island with your own transport. Please see the CNES website for bus timetables and information.
